Petition for the Arts

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Writer, composer, producer and artist, Quincy Jones, has started a petition to try and influence President Obama to appoint a Secretary of the Arts for this country. Please take a moment to go to the sight and sign at: http://www.petitiononline.com/esnyc/petition.html

This is very important. Many other countries have had Ministers of Art or Culture for centuries. The United States has NEVER appointed a person to represent the ARTS. We especially in the ARTS, need this. And the country needs the arts, now more than ever!

Please take a moment to sign this important petition, and please do your part and take the time and pass this e-mail on to as many people that may want to support this plea!

Brides Across America

Jean Marmol of J.Andrew's Bridal & Formal participated in "Brides Across America" on this Veteran's Day. "Brides Across America" is a national organization that was born on a realization that our country needs to do more to support our troops and their families.

So at 5:45 a.m. this morning, Jean and Bridal Consultant, Sarah Health, were waiting for the rush to give away 43 bridal dresses worth up to $3,000 FOR FREE! "Girls were crying, like they had won the lottery," Sarah said. "Some even came from Savannah as well as Alabama."

"Brides Across America" is dedicated to make military brides dreams come true while, anxiously waiting the arrival of their loved one from overseas.

Jean said it was a fantastic experience and felt "really great" about having the event at her store in Peachtree City, GA.
